How we got here
Not a brand origin myth — the actual sequence of a very small beginning.
An MBA student from Haldwani
Arshi spent four years at a government office before she left to study. Then an accident put her in a hospital bed — too injured even to message her manager — and she lost the finance job waiting on the other side of it.
The first batch
Poured in a small rented room in Delhi, because hostels don't allow induction stoves. Two fragrances: rose and vanilla. ₹30,000 from her father, ₹10,000 from her own savings, and ChatGPT as her only teacher.
The first order
It came within a week of that first pour — before there was a system, a studio, or a second person on the team.
Satyam joins
A school batchmate who showed up out of nowhere and offered to build the website for free. He's been on the business and strategy side ever since.
1,000+ homes, one at a time
Every candle is still hand-poured by Arshi. A wooden-wick candle takes three to four hours from pour to set — we'd rather you wait than we cut that corner.
Two people, no shortcuts
Arshi
Pours every single candle herself. What started as two fragrances in a rented room is now 39 aromas — but the pour hasn't changed. If she can't stand behind the scent, she won't make it.
Satyam
Built the first website for free, and has run the business, strategy, and growth side since. A school batchmate turned business partner — not a hire, a bet on the same idea.
What we won't do
Four lines we don't cross, even when it would be faster or cheaper to.
We will not use paraffin
Pure soy wax. Every pour, every time — no exceptions for cost or speed.
We will not pour at scale
Every candle is still hand-poured by Arshi. A wooden-wick candle takes three to four hours. We'd rather you wait than we cut a corner.
We will not fake the scent story
Non-toxic scents only — including a signature fragrance developed with a scientist and filed for copyright. If we can't stand behind the smell, we won't pour it.
We will not copy a trend without making it ours
Laddus at Diwali, snowmen at Christmas, hearts in February — we show up to the season, but the shape, scent, and styling have to be original, or we don't make it.
Every candle still starts the same way
One pour, one wick, one person standing over the wax. That part hasn't changed since 31 July 2025.
